The relation between the Great White Throne Judgment and the Judgment Seat of Christ is, they together consist of the word “judgment.” However, a closer look at these events will reveal their differences.
One consists of the verdict of condemnation, this is the Great White Throne Judgment, found in the 20th Chapter of the book of Revelation. Note, the earlier mentioned of the Throne of God in the book of Revelation, we are given the description of a rainbow around His Throne, like unto an emerald (greenish)
The Rainbow represents God as a covenant keeping God, and a reminder to those who are a part of His covenant that destruction shall never befall them. However, at the Great White Throne Judgment, there is no mention of a rainbow around the Throne of God. This gives us an insight concerning those facing the Great White Throne. They are not a part of God’s covenant, consequently, anyone who shows up at the Judgment, is already doomed.
There are two types of books mentioned at the Throne. One record every action, acts, deeds, and even the thoughts and imaginations of every human, are continuously recorded in Heaven. The second book is the Book of Life.
Who are these being judged?
We are told they are small and great. The word “small” used here do not imply children. Rather, a status, rank or social class, an upper class or a lower class. All their sins, and deeds will be openly shown to them, without an excuse for their condemnation. As recorded in 20:12, They were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Then the Book of Life will be used, wherewith, their names are not therein, they shall be cast into the Lake of fire. That is to say, eternal separation from God and those things they once knew, and the people they once were acquainted with.
The body shall engulf in excruciating, unbearable pain, but the memory of the mind shall not fade. Every second in hell, they shall remember, if only I have accepted the free gift of salvation I wouldn’t have been here. Nevertheless, they are there for eternity.
@ Amen @handfulgaze, even though this was about the two judgments. I didn't realize it could give such a vivid description of being eternally lost, such a horror.
