It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Regardless of what might have happened yesterday. How you perceive a new day, it will determine and shape how you experience today.

The phrase:

"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed."

  • It should birth in you the mindset of being grateful. Which is an essential part to start each new day.

Next we see the act of eternal assurance. Hence, we read:

"because His compassions fail not."

  • In the assurance of the Lord's compassion, may we find purpose in this world, in our life and living. One to another, with faith in God.

We also read:

"His mercies are new every morning."

  • The idea of the phrase "new every morning," this speaks of bountiful, or abundant. The word abundant also means easy. Therefore, it is not a difficult thing to start your day right if you learn to look to the right place. Wherein, you may find a heart of gratitude with the peace of assurance of God's love toward you.

For this is how we find hope.

Thus, we read prior to the two verses:

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

Lamentations 3:21
