Prayer for travelling mercy
The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
(Psalms 121:8)
Herein is a contract, between the one that is being protected and the protector that protects. The requirement of the contract is faith, faith in the Lord. The simplicity of this contract does not limit the greatness of such promise, and the promise of protection is not confined by the individual traveling from one point to another point. It incorporates life’s journey and experiences in all our affairs, and furthermore, beyond preservation, the believer will prosper in all things.
Until then, let faith in the Lord uphold the contract. For those who believe, they are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
(Psalms 23:6)
