What is the Mark of The Beast?

This mark, will be of a religious and an economic identification of allegiance to a man who sees himself as God. Thus, we read, he caused all to receive a mark. Hence, this mark is of his name or the number of his name. Herein, he is lifted up as the sole means of living for the people. That no man might buy or sell, except he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

 

There have been many speculations as to what the mark is, such as a credit card. However, if the poor are to receive this mark; how can a credit be accounted to the poor to obtain a credit card? Another speculation is that of a Social Security Number - a numbering system currently used in the United States, since 1935 which is unique for each individual, and it is used to track Social Security benefits as well as other identification purposes. However, these government issued cards are not an allegiance to a man, nor are they worn on the forehead. Although the text here of Revelation is meant for the future, however, that which has been, it is that which shall be. Meaning, sometimes to better understand the future, we ought to revisit the past. Our time of interest is the time frame of the Roman Empire.

 

Wherein, it was customary among the Romans to imprint marks upon their servants and soldiers, to show ownership, or to whom they belonged; the servants had them in their foreheads, whereas soldiers in their hands. Therefore, for this aspect, let the focus be the purpose of the Mark of the Beast. Which is the sworn of an allegiance to the evil one.

 

Who are going to receive the Mark of The Beast?

He (the Antichrist) caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark...

The all spoken of to receive the Mark of The Beast, primarily refers to those under the control of the Antichrist and his region. This isn't a world-wide mandate of oppression. Although, this will be his ultimate goal. However, there will be nations that will oppose Him. For we read in the book of Daniel 11:44, news shall trouble him from the east and from the north. And he will go out with great fury. The news here refer to nations and their armies, against the Antichrist. An indication that his control shall not be a world wide domination.

 

Is the Mark of The Beast already here?

The Mark of The Beast cannot be present without the beast (the Antichrist) The Antichrist will not be revealed until the Church is removed. (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8) This event is known as the Rapture of the Church.

 

The Mysterious Wickedness is already at work, (Spirit of the Antichrist) but what is going to happen will not happen until the one who holds it back (the Church) is taken out of the way. Then the Wicked One (Antichrist) will be revealed. This is the evidence of the persecution and hatred toward Christians today.

He is called the Antichrist for his opposition to the Lord Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, he shall never be on the level of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, he opposes those who represents Christ, but even in his opposition and hate. The True Church of The Lord Jesus is greater than the Antichrist. consequently, he will not debut until the Church is temporarily removed.

 

The Mark of The Beast is 666, but what does it represent?

To understand the number of the Antichrist or the Mark of The Beast, 666 as it is also known, is to know who he represents. He shall be an instrument of Satan. The fall of Satan, or Lucifer as he was once known, iniquity was found in him, and his pride to be worshipped, and to be like God. Thus, in his vain glory he conceited:

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:

I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;

I will be like the most High.

 

In his fall, he lost the glory of God and became a slanderer. He is aware he cannot regain that which he has lost, but through the Antichrist, he seeks to empower him as God to deceive humanity, to receive worship as God through the man of sin. This is where the number 666 comes into play.

As the Godhead is the union of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Notice, Satan's attempt of forgery; we have mentioned the Antichrist, however, with him will be the false prophet and the image of the beast.

Like the Godhead consisting of three, Satan's demonic deception herein is consisted of three as well. Nevertheless, in all his diabolical deceptions. His end is near, and he shall never be God, for he is exposed.

 

Thus, saith the Lord, here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Our God is saying, listen up, whatever the evil one does to empower the man of sin and his demonic three, do not worship him. He is still a man. Man is lesser than God. The symbolic number of man is the number six, and there are three in the satanic union, hence 666. God's number is the number Seven. Seven is greater than six. Seven represents completion and perfection.

 

Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man. Therefore, 666 in part is Satan’s attempt to establish a trinity consisting of three, like the Godhead, but in all his manipulations, he falls short, his man of sin is still a man and not God.

 

Behold, I come quickly; (saith the Lord) and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
